DIY FOLDING CHECK-OUT STAND FOR RETAIL POP-UPS

I built this in 2018 for my retail pop-ups. There's a tiktok below that walks through the process if you'd like to make your own. This check-out stand is 4 ft wide by 2 ft deep - I've been in spaces as small as 5x6 and as big as 10x10 and I think this size works nicely for both. This thing breaks down beautifully. I put the whole thing in between some moving blankets and wrap with a bungee cord, then use a dolly/handtruck to transport. It's also super sturdy. The interior shelves keep the folding part open enough and the trim on the top keeps it all tight and snug together. I do wish I had used thicker shelves on the inside, just because I end up putting my feet on the bottom shelf when I'm sitting on my fold-up stool. The current shelves hold the weight of everything I need but that's another thing to think about when you are planning for your own.
